Privacy

The short version: your files never leave your device. The tools on this site read and change them inside your browser tab, and there is no server on our side that could receive them.

Your files

• Files you open in a tool are read by your browser and processed there. They are not uploaded, copied or sent anywhere.
• When you drop a file on the home page and pick a tool, the file is passed to that tool through your browser's own storage (IndexedDB) on this device. The tool removes it from there as soon as it has opened it.
• Downloads (a cleaned photo, a signed PDF, a cleaned spreadsheet) are created in your browser and saved straight to your device.

What's kept in your browser

Some tools remember small things between visits, in your browser's local storage on this device only:

• StripShot and FormFix keep a short list of your recent jobs, with file names but never the files themselves.
• FormFix, DataPeek and TrueColor remember display choices, such as which export format you last used.

None of this is sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes all of it.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies and shows no ads. The typeface is served from this site, not from a font service.

Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which also uses no cookies. On each page view it sends Cloudflare the page address, the site you came from, your browser and device type, and how fast the page loaded. Cloudflare works out your country from the connection. It never receives your files or anything inside them. More on Cloudflare's site.

The map in StripShot

StripShot can show where a photo was taken on a map, but only if you press "Show on a map". Doing that asks OpenStreetMap for map pictures of that area, which tells their servers roughly that location. Your photo itself is never sent.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the requests your browser makes for the site's pages and code, which includes seeing your IP address. Those requests never contain your files.

Check it yourself

Open your browser's developer tools, choose the Network tab, and use any tool. You'll see the site's own files and the analytics report, and nothing that contains your file. Or load a tool, go offline, and keep using it.
